Objectives

So here is my diary for 2026. Still in progress, obviously, given that the year hasn’t finished yet.

So continuing last year’s themes, the site now covers parkruns and Wainwrights as well as geocaching. It’ll probably cover a few random other things too, but let’s see.

2026 has started off quite slowly from a geocaching perspective. Not so with the parkruns. At the start of April I’ve done 10 new ones.

I don’t currently have any trips to the Lake District planned, but I have upcoming trips to Gibraltar and Cornwall, so we’ll be ticking off a few caches in new areas and hopefully a couple of new parkrun venues too.

I still have lots of holiday time planned but nothing booked, so I need to sort some things out, but the ongoing lack of house sale in Milton Keyes, plus a couple of financial commitments approaching, are putting me off booking too much.

Geocaching Summary

Well, it’s only April, so maybe I’ll add something later in the year. To be honest, this post is only here so there’s a gallery of the individual posts as they come up.

parkrun Summary

I’ve made a concious effort to do parkrun every week, aided quite a lot by members of running club who are partial to a tourist trip. I have plenty of others in the proverbial toaster, and I’m thinking I can maybe get a second lap of the alphabet done, even though that needs another trip to Holland or a trip to Poland. I’m not averse to either.

  • Total runs completed: I don’t think I’ve missed a week yet
  • New courses completed: 10 as of the start of April
  • At the beginning of April, the second lap of the alphabet needs E, I, O, Q, U and Z to be completed
  • On 66 different courses as of the start of April

Wainwrights Summary

I guess none at the moment. Still, I have plenty of holiday left, so a trip up to the lakes in summer or autumn is certainly an option.
