Rushing Around

I got home from Crete on Thursday, and set off for a weekend of geocaching on Friday. My destination was the annual UK Mega event, which was held in Uttoxeter in 2022.

A Place to Stay

I had a room booked at the Boar’s Head in Sudbury, which turned out to be a nice pub with some fairly dated but comfortable rooms attached. It had a massive car park, and was very well placed though.

Getting There

It’s only 90 minutes away, so obviously I took my car up.

The Caches

This genuinely was a caching trip, so it was all about the caching. There was a big puzzle series that they’d released and I did those on the Friday. On the event day I didn’t actually spend a huge amount of time at the event. In the morning I went down to Lichfield with Candleford. We only really went back to the event site in the afternoon.

Extras

There weren’t really any afters either. It was a caching trip. So there was a lot of caching involved, accompanied by a load of food and beer. I didn’t even take any photos, to be honest. It was all about the caching.
