Off we Go

Final day. Had plenty of time because I didn’t need to be leaving for the airport until at least 4pm.

Had breakfast at the hotel again, and checked out – left bags in their lock-up room.

Over the weekend I’d steered away from the multiple earthcaches as they can take some time to type up.

So today I went at them all. There were loads in the gardens by the National Theatre, and walking on down towards the City Hall and the Akershus Fortress.
The military were gathered in the fortress because the new king was making his official visit to the Storting to swear alligience to the Constitution.
Ultimately legged it round to the Munch Museum again because Nathan J Hunt had an event booked outside it. Might as well. Got plenty of time.

Still had enough time to walk back, and did another 5 or so earthcaches on the way.

Flytoget train to airport, setting off about 4pm. Quick journey apart from some people on the line which caused us a 10 minute wait at Lillestrom.

Airport check-in was tedious as I didn’t understand the process if you checked in but had a bag to drop. Passage through the airport security and passport control was slow, so didn’t have time for much dinner.

Flight was on time though, so we got back to Heathrow about 8:40 and I was in my car by about 9:40. Drive home was painless despite threats of lane closure on the M40 that never actually materialised.
