Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Czechia, Slovakia and the like
Well, to be honest, the only bit of Central Europe I’ve cached in with any seriousness at the time of writing is Germany. There are a couple of finds in Switzerland and one in Austria done as part of trips elsewhere, but Germany has had a couple of dedicated trips.
- In September 2013 I went to Berlin to support the (ex) Good Lady Wife while she ran a marathon on her birthday.
- Then in 2014 I was part of the legendary (verging on infamous) Gigabus coach trip from Milton Keynes to Munich.
- We passed through Austria and Liechtenstein on the way home from Munich.
- I made a foray into western Switzerland one day while we were on holiday in the French Alps.
Apart from that, there’s not a lot I can say about Central Europe other than it’s an area I haven’t travelled through much as a geocacher, and that I fully intend to rectify that situation at some point.
